

A banner day at La Bella Fontana
On February 18th the cages surrounding the eight pepper trees were removed. Since the trees were planted about two years ago, the cages were provided by the city to protect the trees and allow them to take hold in their new home. NIGC had Thomas Pool, an honorary member, remove the trees cages while Linda and Sandy did a bit of gardening. The City was able to drop by and pick up the cages. The Bellas can now pull weeds more easily around the trees.

Red Apron Ladies Hard at Work
Yesterday, February 16, 2021 the NIGC had two groups of the Red Apron Ladies meet at Naples Bayside Academy to do some gardening. One group, Debbie, Linda, and Dawn met in the morning to specifically start to prepare some plots located on the side of the cafeteria for school planting projects. The plots had become overcome with weeds which were pulled and carted off to the school trash bins. In the afternoon there were twelve Red Apron Ladies that met and worked on the front
