Ginny Clark was seen quietly working away by herself spraying roses on Naples Plaza! Thank you, Ginny! You are the best!


April 27 in the median
Ginny C., Chair of Naples Plaza Median, continues to watch over the roses and trees that greet motorists as they travel over the 2nd Street Bridge. She is joined with Esther D. And Linda F. as they water and trim the median. Not pictured by certainly appreciated was Eileen R, who also gave time to help landscape our beautiful greeting to Naples Island. Earth Day at Naples Bayside Academy
After a group of NIGC gardeners weeded the planter boxes at Naples Bayside Academy on April 20th, NIGC offered to assist a small group of students from the school leadership team on Earth Day, April 22nd. Sandy D & Linda F arrived early that morning with 10 bags of potting soil and some marigolds to add to the flower seeds the Naples parents had donated for the students to plant. Gardening At Naples Bayside Elementary School
Naples Bayside Elementary is fortunate to have a crew of NIGC members visit it regularly to weed and plant flowers. Our talented NIGC photographer, Trish S., took a few pictures of our red apron ladies who spent some time at the school on Tuesday, April 20th. There was a group of ladies who weeded and trimmed in front of the library-Catherine S, Lauren B., Susan T., & Carolyn D. - while another group of ladies pulled weeds from the garden plots next to the cafeteria- Lynn

Here is a beautiful photo I took on a day tour of Argovia Coffee Plantation in the mountains above Tapachula, Chiapas, Mexico. We have had a fantastic time sailing down the coast of Mexico, and are now just 8 miles north of Guatemala.


April at La Bella Fontana
April has been a busy month at La Bella Fontana. Two new benches were purchased and then placed upon delivery by Long Beach Parks & Marine. Thanks to Sandy D. in assisting Linda F with the selection and delivery arrangements. Also pictured below are Sandy D, Linda F & Jeanne K, sitting on a new bench. On April 20th, NIGC contacted Mike Frakes (honorary NIGC Member) and his team of trimmers to give the boxwood surrounding La Bella Fontana Park and Plaza its’ spring haircut. Pi


Weeding 2nd Street Tree Wells
On Saturday, April 5th, a small group of dedicated NIGC Ladies donated some time from their Saturday morning to weed a number of tree wells on Second Street. Deborah S, Cathy R, Linda Frame, Julie T, and Linda S attacked the tree wells with their with trowels, gloves, spades, and brooms. What a difference just a few hands can make to the way our Main Street looks to the public. Thanks ladies.
