An In-depth Picture of What May Day is all About and the Sense of Community it Promotes

The May Day Committee wants to thank you all for creating a lovely May Day this year. Our community shone brighter on May 1, 2026!

There was more participation this year, as evidenced by the number of pictures we received and many of you participated in May Day gatherings (which supported our theme for this year).

My personal experience of May Day was very special.  Linda Silver, Julie Taboada, and I worked together to create bouquets to thank the Executive Board Members for their hard work and skilled leadership this year.

Linda, Julie, and I had such a great time working together to create the arrangements. As we made our deliveries, there were smiles, hugs, and even a few happy tears.  Julie said afterward: “I had a joyful time and it was so touching to see how surprised and honored the recipients were.”

Our members' comments on their May Day experiences warmed our hearts:

  • “Margie and I had a blast putting our arrangements together. May Day is special and wonderful to share with friends.” – Lisa Mauck

  • “It was so lovely to see your sweet faces at my door, and the flowers are beautiful. I will not forget your generous thoughtfulness.” – Linda Frame

  • “Happy May Day! Joni, my daughter, arranged every single bouquet while I made the cones! We made over 20 bouquets for our neighbors and friends.” – Lauren Caster

  • “I just want to tell you how profoundly touched I STILL am to have received such a lovely May Day bouquet. You made me feel so special. And I can guarantee you that you spread such love and good cheer throughout our sweet community.” – Maureen Schultz

  • “I hope May Day brightened everyone’s day like it did mine!” – Esther Watkins

Thank you everyone.  We can’t wait for next year!
