Fall Fundraiser
The 2025 Fall Fundraiser generated more than $6,000 in donations to support NIGC’s community beautification projects! The event featured a week of City Lights and Cityology shopping, a private champagne reception, and a three-day dine-out at Domenico’s. The fundraiser drew strong participation from members and guests, and delighted 25 raffle winners who received prizes donated by members and local businesses. Many thanks to the Chairs and their committee for such a successful event!

Descanso Gardens Excursion
In February, co-chairs, Sandy Davidson and Pam McCredie planned an excursion for 32 members of the Garden Club to travel by motor coach to Descanso Gardens in La Cañada. After coffee and homemade banana bread en route, the group enjoyed a self-guided tour featuring the Japanese Tea Garden in bloom and the Camellia Forest, the largest collection in the Western Hemisphere. Highlights included the historic Boddy House, Sturt Haaga Gallery, and scenic trails through oak and ancient forests with snow-capped mountain views. The visit concluded with a four-course, farm-to-table lunch at the Farmhouse restaurant before a comfortable return home.

"Fun With Flowers"
On March 9th, a group of garden club enthusiasts, met for “Fun With Flowers”, an instructional flower arranging class with Margaret Platt aka “Fleurtygal”. Margaret has 45 years of experience in floral design and is known for creative, unique arrangements, and hosting floral design parties. The class was held at the Sea Scout Base where Jeb Price, Sea Base Director, graciously offered us the space to hold this workshop. Attendees took home a beautiful basket of spring flowers.
