Mary Parsell, President of the El Dorado Audubon Society, presented an informative program titled “Native Birds, Habitats, and Conservation.” With 40 years of experience advocating for wildlife conservation, Mary shared insights into the history and preservation of our local wetlands. Once part of a vast holding owned by the Bixby Company, the remaining 500 acres are now a vital and carefully protected habitat for native wildlife. Her presentation featured beautiful images of local birds that call this special area home, highlighting the importance of protecting their habitats for future generations.

Hospitality, Fundraising, and Welcoming a New Member

Members enjoyed a delightful pre-meeting social gathering, thanks to Hospitality Chair Annie Brown and her committee, Nada Szafaryn and Dolores Montoya. Their festive food table, complete with an enchanting fall themed sign, created a welcoming seasonal atmosphere and provided a wonderful opportunity for members to mingle and reconnect.

The hospitality table created a cheerful setting for members to gather before the program.

The fundraising tables were equally inviting, charmingly decorated to encourage support for two worthy causes: the Spark of Love Toy Drive and our Fall Fundraising ticket sales.

During the business meeting, new member Megan Storey was introduced by membership chair, Jennie Renzi and warmly welcomed into the Club. Overall, a delightful meeting!
