Growing a Legacy: Naples Islands Garden Club Begins Year with a Look Back
What a special way to begin the new year! On September 14, President Catherine Steisel presented a charming program, “A Journey Through the History of Naples Islands Garden Club.” Through creative visuals, Catherine brought the club’s rich history to life, highlighting how our beautification projects and community service have enhanced Naples for more than fifty years.

The story began in 1973, when Cassie Mae and Arv Luce met over a fence and decided Naples needed a garden club—a simple conversation that began a remarkable legacy. The presentation brought these charter members together in a delightful imagined conversation, ending with their pride in all the club has accomplished.

It was a heartfelt look at where we began, how far we have come, and the lasting impact of the Naples Islands Garden Club.
