Back to School, Back to Bloom!

On Thursday, August 20, thirteen Red Apron ladies (and a few future Garden Club members) gathered to spruce up Naples Elementary School.
We planted a beautiful variety of flowers to the front planters and even provided some color to a new planter by their primary gate, just in time to greet our Naples students on their first day of school!
Our crepe myrtles have been under some stress due to the high heat, unfortunately. However, we have an arborist treating the trees and have commitments for extra watering by the school and the committee. With a little extra love, we are confident our beloved trees will bounce back.
We were also joined by new principal, Kristina Damon, and the school nutritionist, Danielle Sanchez, who were both very appreciative of the committee's hard work and look forward to continuing the partnership.
The Naples School work parties are to take place on the first Tuesday of the month from 10-11 am with these upcoming dates:
October 6
November 3
December 1
January 5
February 2
March 2
April 6
May 4
June 1
