Arbor Day 2026

On March 10^th, the Naples Islands Garden Club gathered at Naples Elementary School for its annual Arbor Day Memorial Tribute, a tradition that honors club members of their families who passed away during the previous year. President Linda Frame warmly welcomed the approximately 60 attendees and expressed appreciation to those who joined the gathering. Under the direction of Principal Paula Spenker, students recited delightful poetry, sang songs about nature, and gifted colorful handmade metal plant picks for each family honored.

A week before the ceremony, the club planted its sixth crepe myrtle along the parkway in front of the school grounds, and volunteer members spruced up the landscape in front of the school in preparation for this special memorial.
