If you are a lover of dogs, B.A.R.K. is the organization for you to learn about. BARK stands for Beach Animals Reading to Kids and on November 14th, the Naples Island Garden Club members met Josie Gavieres, the founder of BARK, a few of her volunteers, and a few if their dogs. BARK is a Long Beach based non-profit organization dedicated to helping youngsters increase their reading skills and self-confidence by having them read aloud to therapy dogs in a nonthreatening envir


Naples School Cleanup - Nov 2022
Here we are at Naples School-our small but faithful group of NIGC members who show up monthly to fulfill their obligation to support a beautification project of the Naples Island Garden Club. Our gardening team this month fertilized and watered the two crepe myrtles as well as pulled weeds from the front of the school. Thanks to Sandy D., Lynn S., Ruth S., Noreen T., Catherine S., Lauren M., Cathy M., Carolyn D., and Linda F. for supporting this beautification project. Subm


Veterans Day - 2022
The Naples Islands Garden Club once again invited neighbors and veterans to La Bella Fontana Park on Veterans Day, which turned out to be a beautiful, sunny morning. President Deborah Smith welcomed everyone gathered, and a floral wreath was placed at the flagpole. Boy Scout Troop 105 was on hand to present the colors and our 3rd District Councilperson, Suzie Price, delivered a talk that challenged us all to do whatever we can to serve our community and thanked the veterans
