Naples Bridges in Bloom 2024

For the first time in Naple’s history, the island’s five bridges have been adorned with

festive garland for Christmas!

A total of 350 nine-foot strands of garland now decorate the bridges, each one

embellished with over 30 colorful ornaments and six bunches of red berries. Solar lights

woven through the garland cast a soft, enchanting glow on the bridges each evening.

The intricate decorating process took several days to complete, and it was made

possible by the generosity of two donors who supported the vision of the Bridges in

Bloom team from the Naples Islands Garden Club.

The idea for the uniform decoration came from a new Garden Club member who

noticed the bridges weren’t equally adorned. A new member brought the suggestion to

the Garden Club Board, and organized about 50 members to create the concept. Soon

after, two donors stepped forward to bring the idea to life. One anonymous donor

shared, “I love Christmas, Naples Islands, and the Garden Club!”

Now, visitors are stopping to admire the festive transformation, adding to the island’s

already magical holiday atmosphere.
