First home built on Campo Drive 1932
255 Campo Drive is the charming home of Tyler and Candy Barnes. Well loved and tended with care! You can see the attention to detail and mindfulness they have showered on their home. The Green paint with clay tile roof and orange accents on their side gate to all of their varied succulent Aloe plants. Tyler even tossed in Poppy flower seeds to add color.
Their love of Mexico shows through in the varied details of rocks (beautiful when wet) and Mexican pots placed around their yard. They even added a wagon from the Philippines and driftwood off the beach in San Diego. Their red-orange Aloe plants only bloom once a year but they last for two months.
Candy has trees in pots providing fruit that she loved as a child - Dwarf Banana, Orange, and Chironja fruit that is a cross between grapefruit and oranges. Tyler is a Long Beach native and graduate of Millikan High School. He purchased the home in 2001.
He met Candy at the merchant window of Farmers and Merchants Bank in 1994. For her it was love at first sight. Her supervisor was not happy because her customer line was backing up as they got to know one another. They married in 2015. She moved from Cambodia to the United States in 1979 to escape the Khmer Rouge.
Asked what their favorite thing about Naples was, they smiled and immediately replied, “Our community and our street. We even have our own Facebook Page. ”Yes, folks, “Naples Is Nicer!” Visit and view for yourselves!
