June Luncheon

What a lovely event celebrating being together for the first time in over a year! It was a glorious day with sunshine, blue sky, and eighty-six members in attendance under umbrellas overlooking the Old Ranch golf club’s manicured greenery and lake. It was a perfect day to install Pam McCredie as our new President as well as two new officers, Ann Devlin Treasurer and Kathy Owens Corresponding Secretary. Also celebrated were long time members with recognition for 20, 25 and 30-year service certificates. An exciting announcement was made by Sandy Davidson and Trish Schooley who entered an award on behalf of the club for the Civic Development Award with California Garden Clubs. It not only won at the State level, but also won over 7 Pacific Region States, was forwarded to the National Garden Club and was chosen 1st in the Nation in that category!!! It was a major accomplishment working at Naples School from start to finish during their renovation and being on site to monitor construction around the landscape previously achieved by our club. To culminate the luncheon, a raffle was held from donated items which raised over $1,800! Well done members of NIGC!
