International Bird Rescue - Our Work and Mission
In 1971 International Bird Rescue became a global conservation organization for marine birds in hopes of giving voice to them as they try to survive in our ever-changing world. It is a world where the birds are dealing with natural and unnatural disasters such as warming oceans, pollution, oil spills, and mutilation-all which threaten their existence. Dave Weeshoff, a long time volunteer with IBR and former Board member spoke to our members about this organizations’ effort towards bird care, emergency preparedness and response, and scientific research hopefully resulting in increased empathy and action from our citizens.
