Philadelphia Presentation

The PowerPoint program given by member Trish Schooley, covered a garden club trip to Philadelphia in 2019. It involved eighteen members visiting Longwood Gardens and the Philadelphia Flower Show with beautiful photographs capturing the natural beauty of flowers. Longwood Gardens featured their once a year extravaganza of orchids and touched on history of the gardens and the DuPont family. Highlighted at the Philadelphia Flower Show were many categories of floral entries plus the Interfloral World Cup competition. The theme for this event was “The Power of Flowers” showcasing how flowers elicit emotion from the viewer. It was a power packed presentation showing the impact that flowers have on our lives.
